“ Excellent food, great drinks, and quality service make this my new favorite spot on 5th ave. ”
“ Le Colonial, located on 5th Avenue in Naples, offers an extraordinary dining experience with its unique blend of French and Vietnamese fusion cuisine. This highly rated spot captivated us from the moment we walked in, promising us culinary excellence. I began with the beef ravioli appetizer, a delightful dish featuring beef wrapped in rice noodles under a gorgeous light sauce topped with fresh veggies and herbs. The flavors were delicate yet impactful, setting the stage for what was to come. Next, we indulged in the sticky pork ribs, with a sprinkle of nuts on top. The meat was so tender it practically fell off the bone, each bite bursting with rich, savory goodness. For the main course, I enjoyed a seafood medley that was nothing short of spectacular. The dish featured mussels, shrimp, crab, and squid, all perfectly cooked and bathed in a spicy curry sauce. The addition of noodles on the side, fresh herbs to sprinkle on top, and a hint of lime to juice elevated the dish to an entirely new level. It was truly out of this world. Le Colonial is a dining experience that I cannot wait to repeat. The fusion of French and Vietnamese flavors is executed with finesse and creativity, making this restaurant a must visit on 5th Avenue in Naples. ”
“ This is my third Le Colonial location in the last decade. With the others being San Francisco and Chicago. While I'm ecstatic to see elevated Asian cuisine (specifically Vietnamese) in the heart of Naples. Some of the items feel like failed attempts. Many of the dishes are overpriced for the portion you receive. This was our first time having lunch. It was over $100 a person at $460+ for the items sele below. Drinks - le colonial rose was good as were the various (pricey) cocktails we tried Apps - egg rolls (tasty), lotus salad, beef carpaccio, ravioli Entrees - shaking beef (portion size was definitely disappointing...as someone else noted, it's more like a salad than an entree), chicken curry (on the sweeter side but enjoyable) Sides - garlic noodles (little too sweet and overcooked noodles), garlic green beans (disappointing, not much flavor) Service was very pleasant but quite slow at times. Ambiance was amazing and probably the reason LC gets four stars instead of 3. ”
“ One of our Naples favorites. Le Colonial consistently delivers. Last night we had a corner seat overlooking the dining room. They also have a patio seating with great people watching looking out on 5th Ave. Service is always perfect and last night was no exception. Sasa took our order promptly, then staged our apps, entrees, and desert nicely, with a break between each, never rushing us. For apps, we had chicken dumplings and the green papaya salad. You could easily split the large salad 3 or even 4 ways. We then had the sea bass- perfectly cooked on a bed of rice vermicelli and vegetables, as well as the spicy shrimp stir fry. Everything is well seasoned, never too salty. We finished with our favorite dessert: chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream, flamed with rum. It's delicious way to end a wonderful dining experience. ”
“ I'm stunned this place is 4.1/5 and not higher. My partner and I chose Le Colonial because we saw the atmosphere looked top-notch for dinner and we figured French Vietnamese food would taste delicious. Our server recommended four of the appetizers o the left of the menu, the tuna tartare, the sea bass, the duck special, the yellow curry on the left page, and some other things I've forgotten. We ordered the shaking beef as our entree. Someone mentioned it was more like a glorified steak salad, to which I agree, but was still super delicious. We enjoyed the tuna tartare as an appetizer with a Vietnamese twist to it. It has soy caviar and lemongrass. The flavors were very enjoyable. We're from the Fort Lauderdale / Miami side of Florida, and we WISH we had food like this at this pricing closer to us. My partner says he'd rate it a 4.5/5. I'd rate Le Colonial as the same or higher. Tip: check the dress code if you're going to sit inside like we did, and bring a light sweater. ”
“ Def will return. High ceiling, fresh flowers and greens, lush retro decor, brass bars, Parisian red, Asian portraits, Vietnamese water scenery painting anchors the main dinning hall, lovely bar, chopstick rests, wonderful music - Ella Fitzgerald lovely, the panels of leaves line the narrow hall to the bathroom ... nicely done. Good service. The first thing the server did as she greeting us, was gently checked the table's balance. We've Beet salad Ribs Beef rolls / raviolis They're all delicious but I prefer the first two. The beef rolls are delicious but too much meat - this is picking bones among the eggs. I like their chopsticks: if you can reuse it, do take it with you. They're of good quality and beautiful. Thank you. ”
“ Food, ambience, and service are top notch! This place is an exquisite gem. The banh uot are a must starter, the beet avocado salad was divine and the shaking beef was so delicious. Our server was best in class, attentive, but not overwhelming, a character and fast. The table was always cleaned before the next course, so as to not get cluttered with plates. The cocktails were deliciously crafted. Just all in all a fantastic experience. ”
“ Truly a wonderful experience! We sat outside at their absolutely gorgeous patio that was heated so even with it being in the 50s it still felt okay. Our server was honest about his favorite dishes and attentive to our questions. And the food. Wow. Amazing all around!! The sea bass was light and the beef perfectly tender! ”
